Beautiful, personalized mementos of births, marriages, anniversaries...based on early American designs
Celebrate the special events in your life with personalized, hand-drawn and handpainted folk art frakturs.Frakturs are Pennsylvania German documents drawn in ink and embellished in watercolor paint with decorative motifs (usually tulips, birds, and scrolls).
"Family Blessing" fraktur
Frakturs were created in the 18th and 19th centuries to record births, marriages, deaths, and other personal events. These treasured pieces were framed and displayed in the home or kept in the family Bible. Many were also done simply as "presentation pieces" and were given to loved ones as gifts. My inspiration comes from these pieces of American folk art.
